This Web Site is provided and produced by a fellow Gottscheer who wishes to share his memories with other people whose heritage may intersect mine. My name is Arnold Richard Mathias Rom. I was born in the city of Gottschee on March 1. 1933 to Richard Rom and Hildegard Rom (Marek). I live currently in America's Pacific Northwest. I have three adult offsprings: Tristan, Erhard, and Elisabeth. My first wife Eloise passed away in 1979. I remarried in 1994. A photo of my second wife Rose Rom and I (taken on our wedding day) follows:
